Steeple Chase Registration

What:
The Twilight Steeple Chase – A relay challenge between religious congregations. Each congregation assembles a 4-person team to compete in a tricycle relay race. Depending on the number of entries, heats will be run to qualify for a final to win the coveted traveling trophy for Year 1, and of course a year’s worth of bragging rights.
Who:
A minister, pastor, priest, director, etc and 3 congregation members. Limit 2 teams per religious organization/church.
Where:
E. Washington Street at College Avenue
When:
Saturday, April 27, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Cost:
Bike donations for kids administered by Community Rocks! ($100)
Winner gets:
The “Steeple Chase Cup” to hold and brag about until next year

Description
Rules – so far:
-
Captain must be a minister/pastor/priest/director/religious leader of a congregation, and all teammates must be members

One Trike (see photo) – 4 riders – one helmet

Each rider does one lap (approximately 100 yards) on the trike and passes the helmet and trike off to the next rider at the start/finish.

Heats are run with 4 trikes (4 teams competing at the same time)

Helmets must be buckled and unbuckled after the exchange line (Start/Finish line)

NO RIDING ON THE BACK OF THE TRIKES!! You have to sit on the seat and pedal the trike!
